Lou Jeanmonnot fell meters before the finish line, losing her chance to win the Biathlon World Cup. Franziska Preuss won the race and the overall World Cup title, with Jeanmonnot finishing second overall for the second consecutive year. Jeanmonnot acknowledged losing her balance and the French team did not file a protest. Despite the disappointing end, Jeanmonnot remained positive and fair-play.
